Low income families pay twice as much for diapers. Limited weekly income prohibits them from purchasing diapers at bulk discounts. Instead they purchase diapers on a weekly basis from grocery and convenience stores where diaper prices are higher. Food Stamps and WIC are nutrition programs only and do not cover basic necessities like diapers.
3 out of 5 parents living in poverty miss an average of 4 days of work every month because they lack the diapers required to have their baby in childcare. This creates instability in income, risks unemployment, and can result in homelessness.
These families look to charities for help, but the charities don’t have ENOUGH DIAPERS. Miracles Diaper Bank is committed to providing charities with ENOUGH DIAPERS to meet the need.
